How to use Build from a Prompt
Go to Surveys in your Zigpoll dashboard.
Click Create survey.
Click the Build from a prompt button.
Enter a description of what you want to learn from your customers.
Click Generate and wait a few seconds.
Review the generated survey and make any adjustments.
Click Create survey to save it.
You'll land in the survey editor where you can customize questions, change the order, or adjust settings before going live.
Writing effective prompts
The more context you give the AI, the better your survey will be. Here's a simple formula:
[Survey goal] + [Target audience] + [Business context] + [Desired length]

Understand purchase motivation

For more specific results, add details:
Customer profiling:

Customizing your generated survey

Click any question to modify the text, change answer options, or switch the question type entirely.
Reorder slides
Drag and drop questions to change the flow. Consider putting easier questions first.
Add or remove questions
Delete questions that don't fit, or add new slides for topics the AI missed.
Adjust delivery settings
The AI suggests where to show your survey, but you can change this in Delivery Settings. Options include:

Tips for best results
Start specific, then broaden. A focused prompt like "understand why first-time buyers chose us over competitors" works better than "customer feedback survey."
Mention your industry — The AI tailors questions differently for fashion vs. food vs. electronics.
Specify the audience — "VIP customers who've ordered 5+ times" gets different questions than "first-time visitors."
Include your goal — Are you improving ads, fixing conversion issues, planning new products, or something else?
Set expectations on length — Say "short 3 question survey" or "comprehensive 10 question survey" to control depth.

Next steps
Once your survey is generated and customized:
Preview it — Click Preview to see exactly what customers will experience.
Set targeting — Choose which customers see the survey in Targeting Settings.
Go live — Toggle visibility to "Live" when you're ready.
